We are delighted that you are considering sending your child to All Saints and we are very confident of providing the best possible education for your children. Admissions can be a very confusing and stressful time for parents. We are always prepared to discuss through individual cases with parents to ensure you make the right decisions. In the event that there are more applications than places available, our over-subscription rules come into force. The documents at the bottom of this page clearly explain what our admissions criteria are.

There are three different types of admission to our school - Nursery Admissions, Reception Admissions and In-Year Admissions:

Nursery Admissions (for the 2019-20 academic year):

All Saints CofE Primary School and Nursery operates a single intake policy to Nursery. This means that all Nursery children, whether Summer or Winter born, start Nursery in September.

Nursery Admissions Timeline:

Monday 4th February 2019  Applications open to apply for a place in our Nursery class.

Friday 15th March 2019     The application system for All Saints closes.

Monday 1st April 2019       All Saints will offer places directly to parent by letter or email.

Wednesday 1st May 2019  Deadline for parents to accept places in writing.

Reception Admissions (for the 2019-20 academic year):

Children will be able to start in Reception in the September following their fourth birthday.  All Saints operates a single Reception intake policy.

  • Parents can request that the date their child is admitted to the school is deferred until later in that academic year or until the term in which the child reaches compulsory school age.
  • Parents can request that their child takes up the place part-time until the child reaches compulsory school age.

In-Year Admissions (anytime other than the main points of intake above):

Due to changes in your circumstances, you may need to change the school your child attends. We have a maximum of 30 children in any class throughout the School. Please call the School first to see if we actually have any spaces available and, if places are available, arrange to visit the school. Since September 2010, the Local Authority has taken over the co-ordination of such admissions.  Please click here for more information from the hertsdirect website.

If you are unsure at all, please call the School office for help and advice or to arrange for an opportunity to see the School.
