Christian Values and Worship

Christian Values

Christian Values Education plays an important part of the curriculum at All Saints. Each half-term the whole school focuses on a chosen value and time is devoted to explore the value through Collective Worship, Religious Education and PSHE. Our structured values education has had a significant impact on the pupils, their attitude and behaviour which has been judged ‘outstanding’. Children are confident to talk about values and how they have an impact on their individual lives.

Collective Worship

Collective Worship at All Saints is very much part of our daily school life. It is planned based on our half-termly values and any religious festivals. Collective Worship is child friendly and interactive. It includes Bible readings, songs and hymns, as well as times for reflection and prayer. Every half-term, a group of pupils volunteer to plan and deliver Pupil Led Collective Worship. This is a highly popular event which both children and staff enjoy. The clergy from All Saints Church also lead worship at regular basis and occasionally clergy from other denominations and representatives of charities also join our worship. As a Church of England school, our worship is an integral part of each school day. Parents do have the right to withdraw their children from Collective Worship, but are invited to discuss any concerns before making any decisions.
